STATEMENT ON DIRECTORS’ RESPONSIBILITY
For Preparing The Annual Financial Statements
The Board of Directors is required by the Companies Act 1965 ("the Act") to prepare financial
statements which give a true and fair view of the state of affairs of the Company and the Group at the
end of every financial year and of the results and cash flows of the Company and the Group for every
financial year.
As required by the Act, the financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial
Reporting Standards and the provisions of the Act in Malaysia. The Directors have considered that
in preparing the financial statements for the financial year ended 31 December 2012 as set out in
pages 59 to 115 of this Annual Report, appropriate accounting policies have been adopted and
are consistently applied and supported by reasonable and prudent judgments and estimates. These
estimates and judgments in applying the accounting policies of the Company and the Group are based
on the Directors’ best knowledge of current events and actions.
The Directors have the responsibility to ensure that the Company and the Group maintain proper
accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy the financial position and performance of
the Company and the Group and also to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Act. The
Directors have overall responsibility for taking such steps as are reasonably open to them to safeguard
the assets of the Company and the Group and to prevent and detect fraud and other irregularities.
The statement is made in accordance with a resolution of the Board of Directors dated 24 April 2013.
