Estate Management System
The Estate Management System (EMS) is an
integrated and web based application system
that serves all operating units within the Group,
with special emphasis on estates, mills, financial
and procurement management.
This fully integrated system makes the retrieval
and consolidating of information easier and faster,
thus strengthening the Group’s operational control,
efficiency and effectiveness.
Estate modules were fully implemented in 2013
whereas Procurement module was fully implemented
in 2014. Finance module which was commenced in
2014 is targeted to be fully implemented during 2015.
SP Laboratory
SP LAB is an accredited testing laboratory
(Skim Akreditasi Makmal Malaysia) under MS ISO/IEC:
17025:2005. It offers analytical laboratory services
for leaf, fertiliser, soil, water and agrichemical to
support the Group’s plantation activities.
In addition, SP LAB also offers its services to other
plantation companies, government agencies and
research institutions.
In the year 2014, SP LAB analysed 12,725 samples
compared to 11,101 in 2013, a 15% growth in
volume.
SP LAB is committed to provide efficient, reliable,
competitive and professional analytical services
to all customers in accordance with International
Standard Requirements & Regulations under MS ISO/
IEC/17025:2005. SP LAB is also heading towards
5S certification in tandem with the Group’s goals
to increase productivity and quality of work. The
certification is expected to be obtained during 2015.
